In Memory of Barry Snell

The family of Julian Barry Snell is very sad to announce his death on January 17, 2022.

Barry (at various times in his 88 years) was an entrepreneur, a jazz musician, a gifted watercolour artist, a teacher, and most of all, a compelling storyteller.

Barry was an ardent enthusiast for the next generation of jazz greats and held musicians like Bobby Cairns in the highest regard as their guiding mentors.

All contributions will be directed to the The Bobby and Sharon Cairns Memorial Award, supporting emerging jazz musicians enrolled in the Music Program at MacEwan University's Faculty of Fine Arts and Communications.
